"The voice for those who cannot speak for themselves"

Consistency is always the key when it comes to a
healthy dogs diet. To prevent belly aches and upset
stomachs we try to feed the same food. The dry
food that we like and could use more donations of
is Purina O.N.E. and Proplan. We need both puppy
and adult formula's, although the shelter does
accept food donations of any brand.
We always need cat food as well. We also try to
feed Proplan kitty food as well in adult and kitten
formula, it seems to give us the best response. We
do accept food donations of any brand.
*Both dog and cat canned food of any brand is
accepted to entice unsure animals to eat.
Our shelter dogs sleep on blankets. We seem to have
plenty of sheets at the moment, and do not use
comforters due to the stuffing inside of them. Any
type of other blanket is accepted, they really seem to
like fuzzy and soft ones, but then again, who wouldn't.
We accept new and used blankets in good condition( no
holes). So next time you are cleaning out your closet
keep us in mind.
Our shelter cats love kitty beds of any kind! We can
also use pillow cases new and used ( with no holes).
News paper is also welcome, we line their cages with
it for added comfort.
Dog Collars- Any size and color
Dog Leashes- Any width, length, and color. We could
really use some more thick leashes though.
Dog Toys- We need something to keep us busy, we
accept any kind but we could really use some more
indestructible like Kongs.
Grooming supplies: Coat shampoo, conditioner, coat
colognes, brushes of any kind, nail clippers any size,
bandanna's, anything that will make us clean and smell
pleasant.
Sanitation: Pooper Scoopers, accident bags, bleach,
laundry detergent.
A great big thank you to all of the students
and faculty at Hinchcliffe School! We
received the largest donation from any
one organization ever from these great
kids!
This is another great example of the
wonderful youth here in O Fallon.
These girls were very excited to make a
donation to our shelter. Their Mom's are
especially proud. Pictured here with our
office manager "Dillon" Parker are:
Elena and Sophie Topouzoglou and
Bre and Bailey Boswell.
6 year old Ian Wozniak bought toys for the
dogs from a special charity bank that he
had been saving for quite some time. He
was so excited to help. Thank you Ian!
A toy for me to play with....
Money to pay my vet bills.. Did i mention
that SPR not only saved my life, but made
me all better?
Lovey's rescue was made possible through
your donations. She had 15 puppies, sadly
8 froze to death and we lost one later. But
just think YOUR donations saved not only
her life, but her six remaining puppies!
Volunteer your time and teach a beginner
like me some obedience, I learned to sit!
Donate some food to feed me and my
friends.
If you don't, who would?
Spencer Pet Rescue relies solely on the generosity and support of the general
public for funding and receives no governmental funding.
Our kitties are always in need of cat litter. The plain clay kind
is preferred.
Small round cat beds, kitten food, cat brushes, cat food, and of
course cat toys.
We try to make the cat area as comfortable as possible for our
feline friends.
At David Lewis’ 10th birthday party hosted at Midwest
Twisters, David and his friends, including his classmates from
New Enterprise Academy in O’Fallon, from O’Fallon District
90 and from McArther’s Tae Kwon Do Studio, collected over
$500 in cash and supplies for Spencer’s Pet Rescue of O’
Fallon, IL. Pictured here, back row from left, Adam M,

s in lieu of gifts for himself.
A big thank you to Beka Mitchell!
It was her 10th birthday and she asked her friends to only
bring donations for the shelter. We think it was a great
success and a whole lot of fun.
